Winning combinations & special symbols
Slot machines have 3 or 5 reels covered with different symbols. As a rule, paylines run through the reels, forming the so-called winning pattern of a machine. For most slots, at least three identical symbols must be turned on one after the other to make a profit. The payout will be made according to the payout table, which is clearly visible on each slot. In addition to the standard symbols, there are also special symbols that play a special role and allow additional profits.
Wild – In its simplest form, this symbol can replace all other symbols except for the Scatter, completing paylines. Very often, all wins are also given a 2x multiplier with a substituting wild card.
Scatter – These special symbols, in turn, can unlock either free spins or bonus features, resulting in high profits in most cases. Free spins are usually triggered by 3 scatters on the screen. For some slots, such as Book of Ra, one symbol (the book) acts as a wild and scatter at the same time.
Multipliers – These symbols multiply your line wins. A good example would be the 3D slot game Gonzo’s Quest, where wonderful multipliers of up to 15x wave.
